Time is an ugly snail,
moving slower than Congress.
Whenever I wish for it to speed up,
it becomes lethargic.
I bend to its rule.
I live trying to control it.
Why then, does it mock me?
I wake up always too early.
I go to sleep always too late.
Why can’t the snail quicken its pace?
