have a gift:


after centuries,

pastel landscapes & melty cadences

brought to life by dead men

still drown you & me in captivation, just enough to

ask ourselves

why we don’t colorize & capture

God’s fingerprints

into something more consumable

& dripping with wonder

just like they did.

may it inspire me to

dunk my own fingertips in beauty, praying

they’re soggy.
