POEM: Skeletons

Updated: Dec 2, 2019

by BELLA CLARK - October 7, 2019

Icy shivers crawl up my spine as I dive into this haunting expedition of secrets.

What was once tantalizing is now a frigid labyrinth.

See this is where iron-sheathed instruments meet delicate glass.

No one is spared when skeletons open cracks in the foundation.

Yet as I fall down with little possibility of eluding what lies before me,

I am unusually calm as the cracks close behind me.
