POEM: Polaroid

They say a picture is worth a thousand words

And this sentiment is true

Each person has a name, a story, a life

A friend, a sibling, or a lover

Every event some small significance to someone

An inside joke, an unforgettable moment, a favorite song

Some are called art

Others just fun

But regardless of the details

There is a purpose

The moment is captured forever

And years later

You may forget the lyrics, or the joke, or the name

But the memories will last forever
