POEM: Cornucopia

Apple cider and pumpkin spice,

With ginger cookies that smell so nice.

Turkeys and potatoes with pumpkin pie,

They smell like heaven baking nearby.

An array of colors meets our eyes

As we watch the leaves fall from the sky.

We gather them together with our rakes

And then we play in them till we break.

After picking from the pumpkin patch,

We go home and watch the football match.

Hayrides and corn mazes too,

There are so many things to do.

When we sit down together for our feast,

I smile, and together our hunger is ceased.

What a beautiful season is fall,

Where nature’s embrace greets all.
